Wintery Evening Looks

The holiday season is approaching fast, so on today’s menu is some inspiration for wintery evening looks in collaboration with LilySilk! And the key ingredient for that is – you might guessed it already – the wool sweater. This classic turtle neck sweater is made of merino wool, ultra soft and skin friendly, comfortable and warm. It’s the ultimate wardrobe essential and therefor a good investment (or the perfect wish for christmas). The ribbed style and the relaxed fit makes it easy to style, not only for casual wear but also if you want to dress up a little – which for I show you three style recipes!

1st Look: For the first outfit inspiration I used the sweater as a stole and hang it loosely over my shoulders. This way you can still showcase your evening dress while keeping warm and adding a pinch of nonchalance. The dress of choice is a long black cami dress made of charmeuse silk and decorated with lace – elegant and timeless. With its shiny and glossy finish it’s the perfect pairing with to soft wool sweater. I paired it with ballerina flats to keep the outfit easy and effortless.

2nd Look: The second look is my favorite one! I combined the wool sweater with a full-length chiffon silk skirt in natural white with the cutest ruffled hem. I love a good black and white look and the simple silhouette and the ruffled hem makes the look feminine but still very modern. Extra styling tips: True red underwear is best and indeed less detectable under white garments. And to easily crop your sweater to accentuate your waist just tuck the hem under your bra (for more comfort I wear a sports bra).

3rd Look: The last look consist of the same pieces as the first look, showing that with small changes and different accessories you can totally transform the same outfit. This time I wore the wool sweater over the dress and accentuated the waist with a belt. This and in combination with knee-high boots the look goes from elegant to bold with a more edgy touch.
