Two linen trousers, two looks

Today’s post is about two outfits both featuring a pair of linen trousers. I usually associate linen with more relaxed and airy pieces, outfits that you often would wear on vacation. I’m showing you two looks that elevates that vacay connection I have with linen and brings it to a more city appropriate and almost chic but yet still relaxed level.

The first look is an all black look. The black trousers are made of a linen and viscose blend where the viscose fibres come from sustainable forestry. The barrel leg linen blend trousers have an elastic waist which – paired with the barely-there sandals and strappy racer tank – to me is reminiscent of looks from the 90s and early 2000s.

The second outfit features a pair of tailored high waist linen trousers. Now, tailored trousers are very much a staple for my wardrobe, but they usually are made of cotton or wool. These suit pants being made of 100% linen makes them much more relaxed, airy and less formal. It’s a perfect piece to wear in Spring and Summer.
