Outfit: Urban Jungle

Ich war von meinem Post „Modern Safari“ für die Kategorie Sunday’s Cravings so inspiriert und wollte direkt selbst einen Look im Safari-Stil tragen. Wichtig war mir hier ein gewisser Stilbruch, eine Kombination aus schweren und leichten Stoffen. Der Look soll elegant aussehen und nicht wie Indiana Jones (obwohl dieser vielleicht auch zur Inspiration beigetragen hat). Ich kombinierte also einen rustikal wirkenden Rock mit großen Taschen und abgesetzten Nähten mit einer leichten Seidenbluse und eleganten Heels.

Passenderweise verschlug es uns vergangene Woche mit Storm in den Botanischen Garten – der ideale Ort um diesen Look in Szene zu setzen. Großstadtdschungel eben. Ich habe noch lange nicht genug vom „Safari“-Look und vielleicht probier ich mich demnächst ja an einer Kleid-Variante.
Storm trug übrigens ein sommerliches Outfit – Urlaubslaune vorprogrammiert!

I got so inspired from my own post on the modern safari trend that I was dying to try it myself. What I wanted to do is to play around with both heavy and light, more silky fabrics to make the look more interesting and less like an uniform. The look should be elegant rather than look like Indiana Jones (though you could say he was part of the inspiration). So I paired a rather heavy skirt with big pockets and visible stitches with a classic silk shirt and elegant heels. Appropriately enough we shot those photos at the Botanical Garden – the perfect place for this safari look, an urban jungle. I still haven’t got enough from the safari trend and maybe I’ll try a dress next.
