Weekend Vibes at Distrikt Coffee

Am Freitag war ich mit der lieben Franzi entspannt Frühstücken und im Anschluss Bummeln. Dieses Window-Shopping und spontan in verschiedene Läden gehen – ganz ohne Plan oder Vorsatz – habe ich eine gefühlte Ewigkeit nicht mehr gemacht. Mein Einkaufsverhalten spielt sich sonst überwiegend online ab. Doch mit einer Freundin durch Kleiderstangen stöbern und zwischendurch eine leckere Limonade trinken – das macht bei weitem mehr Spaß.

Zum Frühstücken gingen wir zu Distrikt Coffee. Einem coolen Café in einer ruhigen Straße in der Nähe vom Nordbahnhof oder Rosenthaler Platz. Das Interior ist sehr cool, mit Industrial Vibes, viel Holz und braunem Leder. Das Essen war ausgesprochen lecker und der „Daily Special Juice“ hat mir auch sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Buttermilch-Pancakes kann ich wärmstens empfehlen und von der Superfood-Bowl habe ich sonst auch viel Gutes gehört. Der Preis von jeweils 8€ für unsere Gerichte halte ich für Berliner Verhältnisse aber schon für ’ne Ansage. Aber schön angerichtet wird das Essen, das ist ein kleiner Bonus. At Friday I was having breakfast with my dear Franzi and we did a little shopping spree afterwards. Window shopping and browsing through shops with or without a certain occasion – that’s something I haven’t done for a long time! I mostly shop online these days. But going through the clothing racks with a friend and enjoying a lemonade in between – that’s even more fun!
For breakfast we went to Distrikt Coffee. A cool café in a quiet street near Nordbahnhof and Rosenthaler Platz. I like the interior with it’s industrial vibes, lots of wood and brown leather. And the food was super delicious as well as the „Daily Special Juice“. I’d recommend to go for the butter milk pancakes but also heard lots of good things about the superfood bowls. With 8 EUR for each plate it’s quite expensive for Berlin standards. But at least the food is beautifully served, that’s a little bonus. I’ve found a blog article with more details on the background story of Distrikt Coffee. Especially the last paragraph made me laugh!
