Lisbon diaries: Day 4-6

Tag 4
(1-5) Vormittags sind etwa 100 Treppen gelaufen, um uns den „Feira da Ladra“ Flohmarkt in Alfama anzuschauen. Das Hochsteigen macht mir kaum etwas aus, wenn man gleichzeitig die wunderschöne Stadt sehen kann. (6) Zu Mittag aßen wir im Royale Cafe – nur zu empfehlen, die ganze Karte schmeckt durchweg super!  (7) Die Aussicht vom Aufzug „Elevador de Santa Justa“ (8) Blumen in Alfama (9) Das MUSS einer Lissabon-Reise schlechthin – Pastéis de Belém im gleichnamigen Cafe essen. H I M M E L! (10) Wie bringt man Frauenaugen zum strahlen? Ganz einfach, mit einem ultra süßen Hund! Awww…  (11, 12) Padrão dos Descobrimentos und Gruppenfoto auf der Weltkarte ♥

Day 4
(1-5) Before midday we went to the ‚Feira da Ladra‘ flea market in Alfama and climbed about hundred stairs to get up there – phew! But climbing up wasn’t that horrible if you get a wonderful view at the city in doing so. (6) For lunch we ate at Royale Cafe – highly recommended, the whole menu tastes delicious! (7) On top of the old ‚Elevador de Santa Justa‘ (8) Flowers in Alfama (9) MUST-DO of every Lisbon trip: eating Pastéis de Belém in Pastéis de Belém – a dream! (10) How to make girls very happy? With a cute dog, of course! Look at those sparling eye of ours :D Awww… (11, 12) Padrão dos Descobrimentos  and group photo on the world map ♥

Tag 5
(1-4) Am Tag 5 ging es für uns zum Strand Praia do Castelo an der Costa da Caparica um surfen zu lernen! Die Wellen waren echt perfekt für Anfänger (nicht zu groß, nicht zu klein, sind nicht komisch gebrochen…). Dennoch konnte ich mich nur wenige Sekunden im richtigen Stand halten und wollte am liebsten nur noch bequem im Sitzen oder auf den Knien surfen :D Man braucht echt Ausdauer! Es macht aber riesig viel Spaß und ich bin froh, es ausprobiert zu haben! (5) Für den Rückweg zum nördlichsten Ende haben wir zu Fuß nahezu eine Stunde gebraucht – phew! (6) So viele Möwen wie noch nie.

Day 5
(1-4) On day 5 we went to the beach called Praoa do Castelo at Costa da Caparica to get some real surfing lessons! We had the perfect waves for beginners (not too big, not too small nor did they broke strangely). Still managed to stand up for a few seconds only and wished to surf sitting down for the rest of the lesson :D No need serious stamina! But it’s so much fun and I’m glad that I gave it a try! (5) For the way back we had to walk to the northern part of the coast. It took almost an hour, gosh! (6) Seagulls overload

Tag 6
(1, 2) Am nächsten Tag ging es wieder zum Strand, diesmal in Carcavelos (3) Mein wohl liebstes Restaurant meiner Lissabon-Zeit: Petiscaria Ideal. „Petiscos“ heißt Tapas auf Portugiesisch, eine typisch portugiesische Art zu Essen und so ist auch das Konzept des Restaurants. Perfekt, denn so kommt man dazu, viele verschiedene Gerichte auszuprobieren und jedes einzelne bereitete mir schlichtweg eine Geschmacksexplosion! Preislich auch mehr als in Ordnung, vor allem für die Qualität! (4) Das Gericht, was man nicht verpassen sollte: Black Pork! Das zarteste Fleisch meines Lebens… und die Soße! Mhhh… (5) Auch lecker waren die Tintenfische, wer’s mag! (6) Bei den Muscheln war sogar die Beilage super lecker (ist nicht immer so) (7) Auch spannend und schmackhaft war die mit Hüttenkäse gefüllte Aubergine. Außerdem sollte man unbedingt grünen Sangria zum Essen trinken – so schön frisch! (8) Gruppenfoto ♥ (9-12) Gut gefüllt ging es nach Bairro Alto, um 12 Uhr herum verwandeln sich die kleinen Gassen in prallgefüllte Cocktailmeilen (13) Noch ein Gruppenfoto, hier in einer Bar, oben in einem Parkhaus. Wahnsinn! Ein Grund, warum ich Lissabon liebe – es steckt voller Überraschungen! (14-19) Bis zum Sonnenaufgang feierte dann das halbe Hostel im Urban Beach :)

Day 6
(1,2) On the next day we went to the beach again, but this time to Carcavelos (3) Probably my most favorite restaurant of my whole time in Lisbon: Petiscaria Ideal. ‚Petiscos‘ means tapas in Portuguese and that’s basically the concept of the place. It’s perfect as you get to try out a lot of different dishes and every single on was simply exquisite! As for the prices it was perfectly fine, especially for that kind of quality! (4) The dish you should not miss is the black pork! Never hat meat as tender as that in my life… and the sauce! Mhhh… (5) The squids were also excellent! (6) Even the side dish of the clambs were delicious (7) Also interesting and yummy was the aubergine filled with cottage cheese. You should also try the green Sangria – so fresh! (8) Group photo ♥ (9-12) Well-fed we went to Bairro Alto. At midnight those little alleys turn into a crowded cocktail paradise (13) Another group photo at a bar on top of a parking lot. That’s one thing I love about Lisbon – it’s full of surprises! (14-19) Half of our hostel went to Urban Beach to party all night :)
